Thanks for the warm welcome Diana.. Actually my name is Louisa but the system doesn´t seem to want to change it! ;0) I´m currently enjoying the wildlife in Spain which is Arrui, wild boar, foxes, golden eagles.. Not nearly as exotic as in Panama but still nice. Panama seems to have many animals that I´ve been besotted with from a distance all my life.. Margays, Ocelot, all the cats there.. all the other animals too.. The climate sounds brilliant year round as well.. I don´t know what I´m waiting for! :0) I think you´re very lucky to live there..

Sorry I haven't been very active, I'm up here in San Francisco (the one in California) and we have tons of work to do here!! I'm returning to Panama in about six months and will stop by to see everyone. I've been telling everyone that I talk with about Boquete and Paradise Gardens. Lots of positive love energy to you and your work in 2009.

Hi Diana,
Those 2 pics I posted are both in Boquete. I put captions on them, but I guess you can only read those if you go to All Photos? I love looking at pictures of all things Boquete since it is taking me so much longer to return than I had planned.
Here in Oregon I live on a lake with lots of ducks and a forest behind me with an occasional deer. Oh, and bears, but I havent seen one on my property in the 5 years I have been here, and thats ok! Lots of birds which I just love. Sometimes I spot a Bald Eagle and there are lots of Ospreys and a nest up in the trees where I can see the babies heads peek out. (Its across the lake but I can see them with my binoculars).
I have an Umbrella Cockatoo parrot as a pet who is quite a love. I am not sure if I should bring her to Boquete with me (I know about all the regulations) or find her a wonderful home here.
Hasta Leugo, Sandy

Hi Diana
I did not know you were such a tight and local group :-). Sweden and Panama is quite apart yes. The wild life in Stockholm is not that wild unless you go to Skansen to see all the species that are common in Scandinavia. We do have quite a lot of birds (I love birds specially the creative magpies) and dear in the city, then rats of course plus black snails, a bit problem to the garden enthusiasts. We have lots of nice garden snails as well. I think all animals have a right to be wherever they are and would like to know more about how to coexist peacefully. There are lots of paradoxes like when I go with my cat to the vet there are rats with pneumonia and broken tails waiting to be treated. Seems we are out of balance. First I think the animal rights should be established in the UN, just like human rights. There is a problem a bit further north with wolves and brown baers. People are really afraid and a cople of cases where people and sheep were attacked does not help much. Perhaps mutual understanding and animal rights is a worthy goal to work towards? /Eva
